Neiswonger Construction was brought in to safely demolish an existing smokestack in Washington County as part of a site being prepared for new development. With active railroad tracks nearby, the project required a careful and controlled approach to avoid any impact to surrounding infrastructure.
Rather than using a traditional implosion, the smokestack was dismantled from the top down. This method allowed crews to maintain full control throughout the process, ensuring the structure was removed safely and efficiently while protecting the adjacent rail lines.
The project is a strong example of Neiswonger’s ability to handle complex, precision demolition work in sensitive environments.
